V-Ray is Presented with an Academy Award
V-Ray wins a Scientific and Technical Award from the Academy
Academy’s Scientific and Technical Awards Committee presented an Academy Plaque to Vladimir Koylazov as a result of Chaos Group’s flagship product V-Ray. The Committee recognizes V-Ray’s role in giving productions realistic CGI. Scientific and Technical awards take overall contribution of a technology, not just the works created in the past year. This means V-Ray won for their long term contributions to the production industry. Though in 2016 V-Ray was used in many high quality productions such as “Doctor Strange,” “Captain America: Civil War,” and “Deadpool.”
Vladimir Koylazov collected his award at the Scientific and Technical Awards Presentation on Saturday, February 11, 2017. The Academy states that “V-Ray’s efficient production-ready approach to ray-tracing and global illumination, its support for a wide variety of workflows, and its broad industry acceptance were instrumental in the widespread adoption of fully ray-traced rendering for motion pictures,” says the Academy.
As Authorized deals of V-Ray’s products we would like to personally congratulate Vladimir and his team on this tremendous accomplishment. We are proud to sell this award winning product.
