V-Ray is a powerful rendering and simulation technology built to help you visualize your largest ideas. V-Ray is developed by Chaos Group, a Bulgarian company based out of Sofia, Bulgaria. Established in 1997 by Peter Mitev and Vladimir Koylazov, the Chaos Group company is the leader in computer graphics. Chaos Group has grown and expanded over the years with offices in the US, Korea, and Japan. Their flagship product V-Ray uses global illumination algorithms, including photon mapping, path tracing, irradiance maps, and directly computed global illumination. V-Ray supports many different platforms including Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Maya, SketchUp, Rhinoceros, Cinema 4D, Nuke, Unreal, form·Z, Katana, and Modo. Aside from V-Ray, Chaos Group's product offerings include Phoenix FD, VRscans, V-Ray Cloud, & V-Ray Application SDK.
